Sunday snowfall leads to mass DriveFast

By early afternoon March 1 LaGrange received an inch or two of snowfall.  Earlier that morning our family worshipped with the saints at New Community Church.  Every time I drive to church I remember when worshippers at a local Spanish-language Pentecostal church had their weekly pilgrimage to their meetinghouse interrupted by a LaGrange Police roadblock.  Even being the church in a country that wants to play god with its land, and a State that wants to play god with its roads means that sanctuary can be elusive.

But back to the snowfall…  Snow fell on the yards of unauthorized immigrant homes and on U.S. citizen homes.  It fell on the roofs of the homes of the wealthy and of the poor (although it costs the poor more to keep their homes warm, but that’s another fast).  Snow did not need a visa to enter the United States (although some would likely prefer it stay in Canada!).  And snowmen were not targeted by ICE (pun intended – perhaps I’ll write a parody).
